Welcome to our beautiful, historic city. We are sure your visit to London is for other reasons but why would you miss out on the chance to continue playing our fabulous sport while you’re here!?

Unlike many places around the world, it is highly unlikely you will find ‘Open Play’ sessions easily here. Due to our weather and lack of local authority facilities, most of our sessions are in Leisure Centres and Schools where local clubs will hire the courts on block bookings, generally for two hours at a time. Consequently, clubs will ask players for advanced notice of attendance, to enable suitable planning of sessions to ensure that there are not too many people wanting to play and therefore not too much time sitting around.

Greater London is over 600 sq miles so when you visit, you might not be in an area where Pickleball is readily available. London Pickleball, as you can see from our schedule is mainly based in the Greater SW London area, approximately 10 minutes from Wimbledon.

We always try our best to accommodate short-term visitors to London in our sessions but with over 600 registered local players this isn’t always possible, due to the high demand and limited spaces available. In addition, players in our sessions are often grouped by skill levels to ensure that it’s an enjoyable and competitive experience for everyone, which is often difficult with people we’ve never seen play before. Knowing your skill level or having some previous tournament or event experience at a specific skill level can be helpful.

There are however, many other clubs and locations where you can play, in Central, West, North and East London. There are also groups that play in the neighbouring counties, close to London, that have regular social sessions. We have included a list below.

The sport is growing rapidly here, Pickleball England now has over 15,000 registered players, and with increased demand will come more facilities and courts to play on in the future.
